  1. Hyplus:  Classroom training
  2.  
  3.         Hyplus is suitable for classroom use.  Here's why:
  4.  
  5.         (1)  The program can be distributed and used free of any royalties
  6.              to aid academic, business, and governmental pocketbooks.
  7.  
  8.         (2)  Hypertext construction requires only Hyplus and a word processor,
  9.              <link13>.  Runs on 256K B/W systems.
  10.  
  11.         (3)  Traditional approaches to classroom instruction (e.g., lectures)
  12.              work if all participates have identical levels of understanding,
  13.              interest, and desire for knowledge.  However, if differences exist
  14.              in these factors, the lectures are effective to only small
  15.              percentages of the participants.

  17.         (4)  In reported tests, hypertext formats provide both better
  18.              comprehension and retention of complex information.
  19.  
  20.         (5)  Building hypertext systems (semantic taxonomies to
  21.              show conceptual dependencies) creates subject mastery
  22.              unmatched by other intellectual processes.  Those who create
  23.              hypertext understand the subject better than anyone else.
